Seller Rating:
I met Cecilia at an open house some years ago, and just happened to come across her card when I wanted to put my home up for sale. We made an appointment to meet, but in the meantime, I was referred to another agent in an another company. I called Cecilia to tell her I was going with someone else. She asked if we could still meet anyway, just to hear her out. I agreed. And I'm glad I did.
Ahead of time, she prepared a complete report the local market, how my home fits into it, and what I might expect for an initial asking price. Her report was very professional, thorough, easy to read, and personalized to me and my home. She gave me a few different option to consider, with a clear understanding of the pros and cons of each. I was very impressed. I decided on the spot that she was going to be my listing agent.
I feel very lucky that I had Cecilia as my broker. The process of getting my home updated and ready to sell, in a short amount of time, and reasonable expense, was complicated and stressful... with lots of confusing decisions to make along the way. Cecilia made this whole process seem way easier than it was. She has a great network of people and contractors to get all the work done in a timely, and cost-effective manner. Everyone she recommended made themselves available with short notice, good quality work, and very reasonable costs. She has clearly established a good working relationships with people that are critical to getting an old house ready to sell.
Cecilia pretty much handled everything. She gave me a list of things I needed to do, and kept my to my schedule, and helped me get those things done when I was having trouble making the time.
She is very patient, and got me through a stressful, and sometimes emotional process. She even made it fun most of the time. She was always sensitive to my needs, and my own preferences.... but was always realistic about expectations.
The market softened a bit right as the my house came on the market. Initial response wasn't as strong as we'd hoped. Cecilia didn't let me panic. She did some research, and quickly prepared a report for us to go over. She quickly came up with a great strategy to bring attention to my home despite the challenging market conditions. I soon got several good offers, and she helped my pick just the right combination of good offer, from a good buyer. Negotiations went smoothly, and I was soon in contract with a good buyer. I ended up getting more for my home than I had hoped. The entire escrow process... all the contracts and paperwork to deal with... all the confusing details... was easy with Cecilia on my side.
I had to be out of town when escrow closed, and there was still some things that needed to be done, and removed from the house before handing it over to the new owners. Celica took care of everything while I was gone. She is just a person you can really count on, even with the deal is already done... she's still there for you.
The whole process, since my first meeting with Cecilia, to the exciting phone call with her on closing day was a very positive experience for me, during a very stressful period in my life. I now consider her, and her partner James, as my friends.
If you are selling your home, the very first, and smartest step, in my opinion, is to give Cecilia a call.
